Soldiers of Killiecrankie

In honour of Donald MacBean, a soldier in William II Scottish Army, who is said to have cleared the Garry Bridge while being pursued by the Highland Jacobites.  The distance between the banks has been measured as 18ft or 5.5m.

Killiecrankie based Highland Fling Bungee operate the 'Soldiers Leap Zip Wire' during our event. The zip wire starts some 70 feet up in the trees on the steep bank above the arena field. The first 50 yards passes through the tree canopy.

Cost is £10 a leap

Age Limit: Minimum age is 10 years. All under 16's require a parent or guardian to be with them to sign the acknowledgement of risk.
Weight Limit:
There is no minimum weight but the maximum weight is 120 kg or 18.9 stone (264lbs).                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                  Fitness: There is a 5-6 minute (approx) walk to the start of the zip. Walking across a field climbing over a fence using a style, up a bank along a forest track.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                   Clothing: Sensible footwear, trainers or walking boots are ideal. No head wear or scarves are to be worn. A jacket with you just in case of inclement weather.

The 'Soldiers Leap Zip Wire' is part of the Soldiers of Killiecrankie weekend, and you will need to pay to enter: :- £7 adult, £6 Concession and £3 Children aged 5-16, under 5s are FREE!, Family of four 2 adults and 2 children £17 to enter the event.
